The globally leading silicone manufacturer, Dow Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Dow), and Circusil L.L.C. (Circusil for short hereafter) said on November 2 that they would cooperate to construct the first commercial silicone recycling plant in the State Kentucky, USA. By the end of 2024, this facility will be put into operation, and will recycle organic silicon waste from Dow's US business as well as its consumers' post-industrial waste. This development will enable Dow to incorporate recycled materials into its silicone production process, reducing overall carbon emissions to ultimately provide customers with sustainable silicone products.
