In September, the signing ceremony for the Dushan Port (Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, China) Production Project of Sika New Materials Co., Ltd. from Switzerland was grandly held at the Headquarters of Sika Group in Zurich, Switzerland. The attendees of this come as follows: on the side of Chinese company, Jun LI, the Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Jiaxing, together with the others like Xudong ZHONG and Jinping YANG. Concerning Sika, Adrian Widmer, Chief Financial Officer; Philippe Jost, Director of Construction Division; Stephan Oderbolz, Director of Asia Pacific Operations; Yan HU, Vice President of Operations in China.
The above-mentioned project with more than $100 million earmarked, covering an area of approximately 6.67 hectares, is scheduled to commence construction by the end of 2023 and be put into production by the end of 2025. This initiative will introduce advanced products and production technologies from Sika, including fire-resistant coatings, silicone adhesives, floor coatings, adhesives, waterproof materials etc., with the Phase I capacity of around 99,000 tons. These products will be utilized in clean energy sectors such as wind power, nuclear power and new energy vehicles as well as green and low-carbon buildings. The project represents a significant step towards achieving Sika's sustainable development goals while also adhering to international green building standards.
