Editor:ACMI/Silicone Sep-14-2023

JNC Corporation of Japan plans to expand the production capacity of reactive silane named "Silaplane", it’s one of their strategic products aiming at cultivating a new generation of revenue champions. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in demand for heat dissipation materials in Silaplane, and this trend is expected to continue in the future. Therefore, the company intends to renovate its production facilities at Minamata Manufacturing Institute (Minamata City, Kumamoto Prefecture), with a goal to increase production capacity by 40%. Alongside raising sales in existing applications such as enhancing synthetic leather performance and contact lenses, JNC will also strive to tap into alternative demand for organic fluorides (PFAS) and venture into the cosmetics industry, aiming to further expand its silicone business. The renovation construction is scheduled for completion by the end of September, followed by trial operation and other stages before commencing commercial production next spring. The investment amount has not been disclosed.
